Gen X is the last generation of luck

Hi everyone! This will be a short post. I’m facing a little writer’s block this week. This happens occasionally, but I think it will happen often next time. I am not moved slower than ever because the end is close to blogs. That’s okay because I look forward to retirement. I am fortunate to take 40 retirement on this time. However …

Gen X is the last generation of luck

The generation x is usually described as people born between 1965 and 1980. This puts us between children’s boomers and thousands of years. We were born in due time and began with many social problems. Let’s go through some of them. I think Gen x is very lucky.

  • No Internet when we are kids. We were very bored and had to enjoy. We ran to my friends, we went to the supermarkets, played games at Arcades, walked with anchor, watched MTV, and we contacted other people IRL. It’s all online these days. Social networks is a human wrist. It is a waste of time, and people are very paying attention to these apps. I’m glad we grew out of the Internet.
  • No major wars when we arrive in age. Gen. X was born too late in the Vietnamese battle. At that time, there was no draft so that Gen X did not join soldiers if we did not want. The cold war was large when we were growing, but that was many ideas. We were not supposed to go to the fight with the USSR or whatever. There was a gulf war in 1990, but that was limited. Afghan war (2001 to 2021) were long, but he touched American citizens at home. A thousand years were a lot of members of service sent to Afghanistan.
  • The higher education was very expensive. The college seemed to call when we were young, but higher education costs are mad now. Parents and students will pay anywhere from $ 120,000 to $ 250,000 to a four-year rate. How many of us have they maintained more from higher education?
  • More entry functions. I just made a road trip to visit our brothers and friends in the old college. They all do well. Many of us get good access jobs and have good jobs. Her younger brother, however, had a difficult time. Graduated after DOT com firm. For a thousand years of a difficult time with DOT Com and the 2008 financial crisis. Those were challenging times for everyone, but I think Genng Gen x went well. Life is strong even new college marks these days. Names seem to hire a few entry workers and try to load extra work in AI. The latest unemployment rate increased, reaching its highest level since 2013. Yikes!
  • Houses were very costly. I married Mrsb440 in 1999, and we bought a new house in 2000. It was a 2,000 of SQ FT, a 3,000-based house in Hillsboro near Intel. The price was less than $ 200,000. The amount of the mortgage was very high. I think it would be about 8% back then. However, the rate is down, and we did. I just looked at the bottoms, and that house is now worth about $ 600,000. Wtf! We should have lived there instead of moving to Portland. Houses are more expensive than when we were young.
  • Good advantage of stock market. 30 years ago was suitable for stock market. Of course, we had a DOT com bubble, a financial crisis, and a covion. However, the power market that is empowered and makes big benefits in the past 30 years. The $ 100 investment in S & P 500 in 1995 can cost about $ 2,200 in 2025. That’s incredible. Genngu should use the stock market opportunity and invest a loan as I can in the last 30 years.
  • We have a scary movie and music. I love 80s music. We had Michael Jackson, queen, U2, police, Guns n ‘roses, and many many wonderful groups. Modern music? Not a great fan. Although Bruno Mars is good. Movies were better again, IMO.

  • Dating was better. Dating and finding a long-term partner seems difficult today. What do I know, yet? I’m married for 26 years. Reddit supported solid food for people who complain about dating. It looks like the dating apps make it very difficult for men to find a good partner. Dating seemed true back to 90s and 2000s. Women of uncleanness without good reason.

Okay, that’s all I have today. You can share your life experience in the comment section? What generation, and do you think your generation is lucky?
