The Migration Has Started – Blogging Eliminates Debt Blogging Eliminates Debt

One started submitting his CV early last year.
Two told me at Thanksgiving.
Someone told me about Christmas.
Another put their plans in mid-February.
And, of course, one is already here.
Yes, what I mean is that my kids have started moving to Texas.
Beauty has only been here for two weeks, she started a new job, and she has found a house. She’s staying here with my parents and me for now, but she’s going back to GA within the month to pack up the house, animals, and husband. We expect they will be moved to their new location by the end of March.
History Buff has made clear his intention to move to Texas when his lease expires in August. She hopes her roommate/best friend will go with her.
A Sea Cadet also wants to move here. However, we discussed that he was staying strong at the VA until he finished the degree he was working on in preparation for applying to PA school (finally.)
Princess is the host. But you will be visiting 3+ weeks apart between now and the middle of the year. He arrives for a 10-day visit this week. Wow, wow!
It will be interesting to see who all is there at the end of 2026. (No pressure from me.)
Move My Stuff
I am here as moral support. They don’t feel any pressure from me to move. In fact, I continue to warn them that I don’t know what I will do after my parents no longer need me. I didn’t want Texas to be my home again. But we’ll see…
In the meantime, I have to decide if this is the time to move my storage from GA. Since Beauty and her husband are moving, it might be a good time to move my things. Share the cost of Uhaul maybe? I have started pricing here.
