Summer 2025 Road Trip – Retirement is 40

Hi everyone! This will be a short post because it is a road trip! This year, we wanted to visit Josemite because Mr40 has never been there. That’s nuts because he grew up in southern California. His parents were often ill and her parents did not take long traffic trip. My parents take us to Besemite twice as a child, and it was very surprising.
Unfortunately, Josemite seems to be difficult for the reduction of staff, entry permits, and tenders reservations. Most of that may be solved now, but it was a confusion when I looked in January. That is why we have changed the program, and we will go to Squoia and King Canyon Parks National Parks instead. We will visit Josemite for another year. From what I read, at the beginning of summer it can be a better time to visit Josemite. The following year, we will go down as soon as the school is over.
The first leg of the journey
On the first leg of our road journey, we went down to Portland to Santa Rosa. It was a long drive, with a vision dropped 5 and turned west on Ca-20. This windwood took us to the country’s wire hills Wine. That is more interesting, but you have to pay attention to the drive. We saw the danger in the twisted road, a road with hills. The car was answered. The driver was well and was on the phone when we left. The fire truck came there quickly and controled. The driver must have gone road and turn off the car on the hill.
We arrived in Santa Rosa after a long drive day and we entered the hotel Hotel Centero Country Country. It was a wonderful hotel and we slept like a log that night. The beds were very comfortable. Mrs RB440 Would like one of those beds at home. I’ll have to see that Hilton sells these beds. I used my points to cover the cost of hotels on this trip. It’s one way to save money on summer travel.
Santa Rosa, we visited Charles Shultz Museum and received a few things in the gift shops. Mrs RB40 is a favorite person Snoppy. That is why RB40JR and I have a lot of snoopy t-shirts. We visited and the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. It was a pleasure to get a little walk and stretch our legs a little.

Then, we went to San Jose living with my brother. You have 3 children so the house is very healthy. It is good for RB40JR to spend time with his cousins. You are very different from our home in Portland. Usually very quiet because we have only one child.
We spent a few days in San Jose to find friends and family. It was nice to see my college friends again. We all grow old and we’re a little chunkier, but we all do well. I think our generation was very lucky. We all found good works behind the college and we were able to build wealth over the years. Thousands of years and Gen Z had a very difficult time. I think our children will face many challenges behind college.

The USS Hornet Museum was a delicious experience for everyone.
Leg of 2
Next, we will leave San Jose and look at Monterey. One of my college children live near the sea. We will destroy him for a few days. It should be very fun to check Monterey and Carmel.
Then, we will call to Pisso Beach and visit Mr RB40’s cousin San Luis Obisposo for a few days. Then, we will create tents in the Qooia and King Canon National Parks. After the parks, we will return to San Jose. The younger brother flies with his children. We will have a family big meeting. It is good for children to spend time together while they are young. RB40JR will go to college before we know. It will be very difficult to gather like this when they grow up. Life gets the bus very much for them soon.
We will last about a week with the church and the brothers and return home. We may use a few nights of Lake Tahoe when they go back, but it depends on how we feel. When we are too tired, we may understand directly to Portland.
OK, that’s what today. I hope you are enjoying your summer break. Summer is in the paragraph. I can’t believe that the plane is fast as soon as possible. Next week, we will still be on the street and therefore no new blog post. A good summer!
