2026.3 Update: The new offer is 80k, which is the best offer ever offered on this card! Offer expires 4/30/2026.
2025.5 Update: New offer 60k + Explorist membership (expires 2/28/2026). The spending requirement is $7,000 to spend in 3 months, which is higher than before. I personally don’t think the Explorist membership is helpful, so it’s not worth the extra money. [2025.7 Update] There is only a regular offer of 60k now.
2025.1 Update: New supply is 60k+1FN. The last part of 1FN requires spending $15k in 6 months, which is a lot of money. It may or may not be worth it to do the latter part for you. Offer ends 2025.3.6. [Expired]

Benefits
- 80k Offer: Earn 80,000 World of Hyatt points after spending $8,000 in the first 3 months. This is the best offer ever offered on this card.
- A Hyatt point is worth 1.6 cents (Hotel Point Value) and you can find the free nightly Hyatt award chart here. So a top 80k offer would cost $1,280!
- Earn 4x points per dollar spent at Hyatt properties. This equates to 9x points per dollar spent if you are a World of Hyatt member.
- Earn 2x points per dollar on fitness club and gym memberships.
- Earn 2x points per dollar spent on three categories of your choice each quarter, including:
- Food
- Gas Stations

- There are no foreign transaction fees

- It does not count against your 5/24 status once approved, although approval will be governed by your 5/24 status.
- It can hold both this and the consumer/Hyatt personal at the same time.
Evil
- $199 annual fee is NOT waived in the first year. Note that the annual fee does not count towards the minimum spend (and this is true for all credit cards)!
- There are no free annual certificates or special night credits.
Recommended Application Period
- [5/24 Rule] If you have 5 or more new accounts opened in the last 24 months, Chase will not approve your application for this card, no matter how high your credit score is. The number of new accounts includes all credit card accounts, not just Chase accounts. See this post for details on how to bypass this rule.
- Do not apply for more than 2 credit cards within 30 days, or you are more likely to be declined.
- We recommend that you apply for this card after you have had a credit history of more than a year.
Summary
This product is a bit confusing beyond the sign-up bonus, as in almost all cases business owners would be better off with the Chase Ink Preferred Business Card which earns 3x transferable Final Final points for many bonus categories. The main reason to hold and spend money on this card will be for the night/special occasion and milestone benefits. However, the $199/year value proposition isn’t there for me to grab this beyond the signup bonus.
After applying
- Call 800-453-9719 to check the status of your Chase business card application. This is an automated phone line, and the information has the following meanings: Getting a decision within 2 weeks means your application is likely to be approved; Getting a decision in 7-10 days means your application has probably been rejected; Getting a decision within 30 days means that your application needs further review and there is nothing to tell you yet.
- Find the back door number for Rethink: 888-270-2127 or 888-609-7805. It is very difficult to get Chase business cards back. Be prepared to be asked about many details about how your business operates.
