Recommended Application Period
- You can only get a welcome bonus once in a lifetime, so be sure to apply when the historically highest offers appear.
- [New] [Family language] AmEx is starting to add family language: cards with higher annual fees will apply to welcome offers at lower annual fees in the same family series. The Delta personal card family is affected. So if you want more than one welcome offer, you should apply for the cards with the lowest annual fee first.
- AmEx does not care about the amount of withdrawals.
- You can try to apply if you have a credit history of 6 months.

Summary
Delta does not publish an award chart which makes this comparison a bit difficult. However, if you fly Delta a lot/have some redemptions in mind, this is a great welcome bonus! The per diem earning rate isn’t exactly outrageous, but if you fly Delta a lot you may find some of the perks useful.
