1. 80k offer: earn 80,000 Alaska Miles after spending $4,000 in the first 120 days. Plus a companion fare for the first year. The best recent offer is 85k.
2. We value Alaska Miles at 1.6 cents/point (Airline Miles Value), so the 80k welcome offer is worth about $1,360!
3. Earn 3x Alaska Miles on Alaska Airlines tickets, vacation packages, and merchandise purchases; earn 2x Alaska Miles on qualifying gas, cable, streaming services and local transportation including ride-sharing purchases; 1x Alaska Miles on other purchases.

Recommended Application Period

1. We recommend that you apply for this card after you have a credit history of at least one year.
2. 2/3/4 Rule: BoA will only allow a minimum of: 2 cards per 2 month roll; 3 cards per 12 month roll; and 4 cards per 24 months. Because their IT system has not been fully updated, you may not be denied due to this rule. Instead, you may be initially authorized, and then the account will be closed due to “mistaken authorization”.
3. 24 month rule: This card will not be available to you if you have or have had a card in the previous 24 months.

Summary

This card is identical to the old BoA Alaska card. The welcome offer is quite attractive. However, the reward level for spending is not impressive, making it not a good option to keep unless you fly a lot.
