AT&T extends DEADE KUDE DECE residency deadline. 18

The deadline for AT & T’s $177 million Class Action Section has just been pushed back to December 18. That should be welcome news for the millions of Americans who now have time to heal from big data breaches.

This additional month gives anyone whose data is affected a better chance to check that their data is at risk, collect documents and successfully deliver their data before the windows are closed.

Under the settlement, people affected by the first violation from 2019 to 2024 can seek up to $5,000 in damages; those who influence the second one thing From May to October 2022 it can claim up to $2,5500. Therefore, anyone who has lost both violations can claim a combined maximum of $7,500.

What is AT&T’s stock?

The settlement stems from two major data breaches at AT&T that were revealed last year. The first data exposed in a prominent Dark Web breach, including names, addresses, past accounts, social security numbers and other personal information tied to customers between 20 and 2024.

The second breach was different but still far reaching. Hackers found an AT&T workstation hosted on our cloud platform. They found phone numbers associated with AT&T accounts, as well as customer numbers that were called or texted between May and October 2022 and January 2, 2023.

This means that even people who didn’t have AT&T as their company – anyone talking to an AT&T customer in those days – may have had their phone numbers turned up in the breach.

Attacks of this scale, unfortunately, are nothing new. Last year also broke the National Public Dalcial New Breat, one of the largest ever, more than 2.9 billion records. And while AT&T denied doing anything wrong, it agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid a court battle.

How to check if you are eligible for compensation

The easiest way to find out if you qualify or not is to visit the official website of the property.

Those who received notification about the data breach by mail or e-mail from the Kroll Settlement Administration, the service provider that manages the property, can enter a Class Member ID. Alternatively, you can use your AT&T account information, such as an account number, name or email address, to look it up.

After you enter your information, the site will let you know if your information was entered for a first violation, a second violation, or both. You’ll also see what compensation options you’re eligible for and how to proceed.

If you have questions, the Koll Settlement Administration has a support line at (833) 890-4930 to assist claimants.

How to install your AT&T

You can file a compensation claim online through the AT&T Social website. After checking eligibility, you will have to choose between submitting documents for financial loss or opting to pay an unsubstantiated amount.

If you choose the first method, you will need to upload sufficient evidence showing the money you actually lost due to the data breach – think receipts, bank statements or records of credit monitoring expenses. You can receive up to $5,000 for a claim with supporting documentation for the first violation and/or up to $2,500 for a documented claim for the second.

The No-proof option is the easiest option, which only requires your form to be completed and submitted. But it also provides a little in the way of compensation: Claimants will receive a share of the Net Helsed funds – $149 Million for Breat One, and a fee for Breat – After generating funds (and depending on the final amount of claims).

Once the form is complete and any documents are uploaded, you can submit your claim electronically. Claims can also be submitted by email, but must be postmarked by December 18.

After the closing of the filing window, all submissions will be reviewed, and payments will begin to flow out if the Court gives the final approval on January 15. Remember that the distribution can be eased in 2026.
