AMEX Business Gold Card Review (2025.10 Update: New $150 Squarespace credit;

2025.10 Renewal: There’s a new coupon on this list: $150 Squarespace Card. Squarespace is a platform to build a website and register domains. Probably not many people will find this effective, but it is always nice to see more benefits without increasing the annual income.

14. This card is very easy to get approved because it is a CHARICT card, not a credit card. This means that you are not subject to a line of credit when approved (so there is no prior spending limit), and you are required to pay your balance in full by the due date.
15. AMEX has a very open definition of what constitutes a “business,” given the bullet above. If you’re applying as a sole-proprietor, AMEX lets you choose an annual income for your business between $0 – $49,999. If you sell anything (including your time or skills), you can have a business. INTRODUCTION TO MR POINTS

• The MR points you earn from different MR cards will automatically go to the same MR account.
• Family points never expire. You will not lose MR points on one card if you close an account, but you will lose all MR points if you close all MR cards. To avoid losing your MR points, we recommend keeping a free annual Amex card.
• If you have any MR cards, Mr points can be transferred to certain airline miles. One of the most common and best ways to use MR points is to transfer them 1:1 to all Nippon Airways (ANA, NH) miles (Star Alliance). Recommended Upgrade Options

Most (all?) people get an offer to upgrade this account to the first AMEX Business Platinum card within the first year while receiving $10,000 in bonuses (even if you’ve already received an AMEX Business Platinum sign-up bonus). This is a great way to get amex Business Platinum benefits, and a sign-up bonus, even if you already have that card. If you have not had an Amex Business Platinum card before, it is highly recommended that you apply for that product before upgrading, as upgrading and receiving the bonus will reduce your ability to receive the 75,000 MR to 150,000 AMEX Business Bonus on the AMEX Business Platinum. Note that, when you upgrade, amex does not do a hard credit pull!

Recommended Downgrade options
