There are many new things this year

Okay, I’ve officially said goodbye to 2025 and it feels so good. Although there were, a lot of good things last year, the heavy is not something I want to revisit. So, I’m totally focused this year.
And for the first time, or what I’m looking at for the first time… I really look at this year as a New Year, a kind of New Me period. My personal goals for this year fall neatly into two major categories. (This does not include my debt free travel that I have been given at this point.)
In terms of health
First, my life. In October/November, my diabetes really took over my life. I started new meds when I got back from Georgia (prescribed by my doctor) and my numbers completely went away. We are still not sure what happened. It took several weeks of deliberate vigilance and dieting to bring things back under control. It wasn’t fun.
For my birthday, I gave myself the gift of a 3-month Pilates subscription. I went to a free trial class and decided, not only was it an exercise program that I couldn’t do as out of shape as I am, but the class schedule was perfect for my maintenance and work life. So for the next 3 months, I will be attending an exercise class every other week at 6am.
At the same time, one of my mom’s sick aids is helping me create a workout plan that I can do at my parents’ local gym. So my commitment to Q1 is 4 times a week, I exercise. Hopefully, this starts a trend that continues throughout the year.
Work
Work has been steady since last spring. Thank you for that. But I was drawn to another type of business in the last 5 months. And in November, I decided to bite the bullet and launched a brand new business.
No, I’m not closing my 20-year-old business. This is a brand new endeavor. It’s still digital, leveraging the skills I’ve developed helping people create and grow their businesses, but this time, they’re doing it for me.
In the past two months, I have spent many hours developing products. And have a presentation in the last week of December. But time passed for me and I didn’t do it.
It will launch this month though. And I feel very confident and happy that it will do well. I did research, created products that solved a need, and created a solid implementation plan. Now I just need to complete the digital trail and get started.
That’s all I have to say for now. But that’s what keeps me busy these days.
What are your goals for 2026?
