February is here, and love – and savings – are in the air.

We’ve rounded up a variety of deals to help make your month even more fun. It’s our little way to wish you a happy Valentine’s Day.

Frozen yogurt – February 6

February 6th is National Froyo Day, and to celebrate this cool holiday, participating TCBY locations are offering a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) deal.

Boneless wings – continued

For a limited time, Buffalo Wild Wings is offering BOGO boneless wings on Thursdays. This deal applies to dine-in and takeout or delivery orders made through their official app.

Tax preparation – during tax season

Tax season is underway, but there’s one way to take some of the pain out of the process: Skip the bill and do it for free.

If your annual income is $69,000 or less, you have a disability, or you speak limited English, you can get your taxes done for free through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Travel benefits – continued

Bitten by the travel bug? You may find some unexpected savings on your next adventure. Today’s travelers can enjoy a variety of special offers, from free checked bags to free museum admission. You can find more details at “10 Best Free Tours to Help You Save in 2026.”

Crafts for kids – Feb. 14 and Feb. 21

Lowe’s often hosts design-based workshops for kids to enjoy for free. On Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., builders can come in and make their own little birdhouse. Note that you must register for this workshop in advance.

JC Penney also offers free art sessions for kids. On Valentine’s Day from 11 a.m. to noon, they can make a free “Quill you be mine” hedgehog magnet. Parents will receive a free coupon for an additional 10% off their purchase so they can shop while their kids are crafting.

Samples – ongoing

We’re not talking about handouts at Costco (not that there’s anything wrong with free ones). It is possible to order free samples from the comfort of your home – without getting scammed – if you know where to look. Read more in “The 8 Best Legitimate Sites for Free Samples.”

Cake – Feb. 17

Paris Baguette is offering a BOGO deal on pastries in honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day on Feb. 17. To be eligible, you must be a member of the chain’s rewards program, which is free to join.

Admission to the cultural center – Feb. 16

February 16 is President’s Day, and some cultural centers are celebrating by offering free admission. Examples include:

  • Children’s Museum of Indianapolis: Offers free entry on Feb. 16, although advance tickets are required. They will be available from 6th Feb.
  • George Washington’s Mount Vernon: Usually offers free admission days during February to celebrate Washington’s birthday.
  • Presidential Libraries: Many sites, such as the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, often waive fees this holiday.

Video games – during February

The Epic Games Store continues its tradition of giving away free PC titles every week. For example, the garden-themed puzzle game Botany Manor is scheduled to be released on Feb. 5 to Feb. 12.

Hockey of the day – March 7

While the next official Try Hockey free day has been pushed back to March, February is the time to find a participating rink and sign up.

This program provides children between the ages of 4 and 9 with free equipment and instruction to try the sport.

Broadcast TV — continued

It seems like the cost of paid streaming services is always going up, but you don’t have to put up with the price hike. Sales tax – Feb. 14-16 and Feb. 20-22

February is usually the first month of the year for sales tax holidays, and 2026 is no exception.
