BoA Air France KLM Credit Card Review (Update 2026.1: 70k Offer; Minor Improvements)
2026.1 Update: New supply is 70k. Also, there are a few improvements and changes:
- New benefit: earn 3x miles on meals.
- Improved XP earnings: Earn 20 XP every year on your account anniversary. Earn an additional 80 XP (100 XP total) when you spend at least $15,000. Plus, earn an additional 60 XP (totaling 160 XP) when you spend at least $25,000.
- The card is changed from Mastercard to Visa Signature.
- Card art has been changed.

Recommended Application Period
- We recommend that you apply for this card after you have a credit history of at least one year.
- You can have the same credit card multiples at BoA. You must wait at least 90 days to apply for the same credit card, otherwise the application will be automatically cancelled.
- [New] 2/3/4 Rule: BoA will only allow a minimum of: 2 cards every 2 months; 3 cards per 12 month roll; and 4 cards per 24 months. Because their IT system has not been fully updated, you may not be denied due to this rule. Instead, you may be initially authorized, and then the account will be closed due to “mistaken authorization”.
Summary
The welcome offer is really good if you can use FlyingBlue miles. Note that FlyingBlue miles are transfer partners with Chase Ultimate Rewards/Amex Membership Rewards/Citi ThankYou Point/Marriott Rewards, which means we can always transfer points from partners if we need more FlyingBlue miles. The extra XP points can be useful if you want to gain a higher rank in FlyingBlue, but generally the card is not worth keeping.
